The local staple food is the sweet potatoes. kau kau(pronounced - cow, cow) kai kai (say it same as english) is food. There are 4 main kinds of sweet potatoes. How ever the locals say there are lots of kinds of potatoes.

Bananas are good here off the tree and ripened. The are a little small but not by much. They cover them up so they will grow larger and to keep the bugs off.

You will get a kick out of this! They bring the chickens to the market then tie them to stick then put the umbrella over them to keep them cool!

Cucumbers sold at the market.They split some open after washing for people to purchase for eating. This meri is putting chicken bouillon on the cucumbers for tast.
